Hospital Clinic Barcelona (Spain), The Institute of Tropical Medicine (Antwerp, Belgium), IRCCS Ospedale Sacro-Cuore Don Calabria (Verona, Italy) and LMU Hospital (Munich, Germany) are conducting the Famba study to evaluate a telemedicine and data analytics platform for international travelers.

• You are 18 years or older

• You are planning an international travel and attending a pre-travel consultation at one of the collaborating institutions

• You are able to use a smartphone and download the Famba app

• You are willing to provide digital informed consent and share health and travel data during the trip

• You received the link to this landing page of the Famba trial during your pre-travel consultation. Here you can find a summary of the trial and the informed consent with a link to your site-specific details

• Once you have consented to participate you will download the Famba app for free and set up your profile and trip details

• Every 2-3 days you will receive health check-ins

• If you feel unwell you can chat with a travel medicine doctor after completing a symptom check questionnaire

• If you don't experience any symptoms anymore you will complete a short questionnaire to end the episode

• You will receive personalized alerts about health risks and climate events

• At the end of your trip you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire about your experience with using the app

• You have free telemedicine* access during your trip (Monday to Friday, between 08:00 and 20:00 CEST, based on doctor availability but within 24 hours).

• You can contact specialized travelmedicine healthcare professionals through the app if you feel unwell

• You will receive personalized health alerts, based on your location

• You contribute to scientific research

*Note: Telemedicine support is for mild or moderate symptoms. For urgent situations, inperson medical evaluation is advised.
